Hi, my name is Sally Parmar and I am an Infant Massage and Baby Yoga Instructor.

 

 

I come from a background of Nursing (including Neonatal) and  Midwifery spanning more than 25 years.  I have been interested in complementary healthcare for many years, and following my father's stroke  I decided to train in aromatherapy - hoping to be able to treat him.  I wanted to train to a higher standard than the average course offered, and decided to enrol with the internationally renowned Penny Price Academy, - http://www.penny-price.com/  to study for a Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy.  This qualification enables me to use essential oils for their therapeutic properties, rather than just for their nice smells!

 

 

Sadly, my Dad passed away just  before I started  my course, but I decided to continue - as he would not have had it any other way! I am very glad that I did so, as not only am I very passionate about my work, but I came into contact with like-minded people who proved to be a great support for me at what was a difficult time.

 

 

 

Having worked as a Practice Nurse in a village surgery for many years, I have become very aware of the impact stress has on our health, and the lack of facilities  available from orthodox medicine and the NHS in general to combat stress. Working in massage therapies brought me into contact with Baby Massage instructors, and with my midwifery background and experience in Special Care Baby Units I decided this was an ideal course for me to take alongside my Aromatherapy work.  I enjoy working with mums and babies, and when I heard about the newer Baby Yoga traing for instructors I signed for the first course I saw in the Midlands area, which was with the renowned  Touch Learn group -  http://www.touchlearn.co.uk/
